MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME The following Management courses make up Lwatis Management
Development Programme:

Participants attending and successfully completing all three courses will be awarded a
Diploma.
Certificates of course completion are awarded to participants successfully completing the

BASIC MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION
SKILLS
(8 day workshop)
March & July, 1999
Objectives
This intensive eight day workshop will introduce participants to the manager's role within
his/her organisation and more especially, the exercising of leadership, discipline,
control, and other management skills. At the completion of the course, participants will
have developed basic management and administration skills and become more confident and
assertive, thus improving their own personal effectiveness which will assist their
organisations' success.
Participants
The course has been developed for employees that have been identified by Senior Management
for future management development as well as employees newly appointed to supervisory and
management positions, managers of small-scale businesses and individuals who wish to
acquire basic management and supervisory skills.

Objectives
This intensive eight day workshop is the second stage in our Management Development
Programme and is designed to equip participants with intermediate management techniques
for the effective management of their departments and sections. At the end of the course,
participants will have gained proficiency in management through practical, realistic
situations and group exercises and action assignments to be carried out within their own
organisations between classroom sessions.

The course has been designed for Senior and Middle Managers, Heads of Departments and
Sections, Business Owners, NGO Executives, Management Trainees and any participant who has
completed Lwatis Basic Management Skills course or its equivalent in another
registered training institute.

Objectives
This intensive ten day workshop is the final stage of the Management Development
Programme. It is designed to equip each participant with specific advanced management
techniques for more effective management in their respective organisations.
At the end of the course, participants will have gained expertise in certain aspects of
management. This will be done through practical, realistic group exercises, discussions
and action assignments which will be carried out within their own organisations in between
classroom sessions.

This course has been designed for Senior and Middle Managers, Heads of Department and
Sections, Business Owners, NGOs Executives, Senior Management Trainees and any
participant who has completed Lwatis Basic and Intermediate Skills courses or their
equivalent in another registered in another registered and approved training
institute.
